Writer’s block or Nah?

I don’t think I have writer’s block, just a lack of time. Or energy. Or both. I know I don’t have a job, but I do have school… and tennis… and church.

That’s still not a good excuse is it.

I’ve been waiting to finish a painting I’ve been working on to do a post on, with several posts going off of it about paint, supplies, process, the will to go on… But I need to finish the painting first. I started working on it at school but I’m very specific about my supplies/setup so I need to bring my things from the studio (which is in my Grandma’s attic. I’ve set it up. I can call it a studio… right?) and I don’t know how to get my easel on the bus, so I have to drive, which means I need to get my license,  and that means I need to finish my in-cars, then I have to fix the Volkswagen, and then I can paint. Or I can just work on it in the studio, but that would also require time. Which is harder to get than the list I just mentioned. (which I need to do anyway)

So in the meantime I’ve been working on a drawing that I started last year. I thought it’d be a good project, not easy, but it wouldn’t take as long as a bargue drawing.

     Was I wrong.

I found this beautiful photograph by Ansel Adams

I’m maybe 1/4s of the way done.

Posts are coming. Just letting you know I have been busy. Now excuse me while I go watch Doctor Who. (Wait, aren’t I supposed to be busy?)
Happy Sketching!
